Cooking has always been my passion. I remember falling in love with it when I was just in 5th grade. I cooked “Sinigang” in a very traditional way, using a young Sampaloc fruit from our sampalok tree as a sour base soup. I loved cooking it in a pot using a charcoal stove with chopped dried woods, and the taste was far more different than what we have today using a ready sinigang mix.
Years later, I discovered another passion: writing. From poems to short stories to novels, I just can’t help myself from writing everything that comes to my mind.
These two passions may seem different, but they share the same reason why I love them. They both tell a story. Every bite of the food and every sip of its soup tells a story. And that’s why other sinigang recipes are inferior compared to the one I used to make when I was a child.
Recently, I stumbled upon a new Netflix series called “Replacing Chef Chico.” I was never a fan of drama TV series, especially if it’s Filipino-made, but this series exceeded my expectations. It helped me reminisce once more the art of cooking and what food should serve/sell on your plate. The series breaks all the cliches in Filipino TV series and captivates true Filipino values from the past and the present. It’s a true Filipino TV masterpiece that will leave you wanting more.
“Replacing Chef Chico” is a must-watch for anyone who loves food and drama. It’s a true Filipino masterpiece that showcases the beauty of Filipino cuisine and culture. The series is a perfect blend of drama, romance, and comedy that will keep you hooked till the end. The dishes featured in the series have a lot of fusion such as kare-kare risotto and lumpia sisig. The series also highlights the importance of family, friendship, and love.
For Filipinos, the series is a celebration of their culture and cuisine. It’s a reminder of the rich history and traditions that make the Philippines unique. For non-Filipino viewers, the series is an opportunity to discover a new culture and cuisine. It’s a chance to explore the flavors and stories of the Philippines.
“Replacing Chef Chico” is a true masterpiece that everyone should watch. It’s a celebration of food, culture, and life. So, grab some popcorn and get ready to be transported to the world of “Replacing Chef Chico.” You won’t regret it!
