Last Friday, I was given the opportunity to savor one of Mario’s restaurant’s specialties – The Toffee Sansrival. My eyes widened when this dessert was served on my table. I believe it had four or five layers, and my curiosity piqued before my taste buds could react.
Just the sight of those toffee fillings made me want to drool. I couldn’t resist staring at it for long as my mouth started craving a bite. And oh man, the crunchy caramel-like crust made every bite worthwhile. The almond nuts added a delightful texture that made me want to devour the entire dessert. While it was the crunchiest sansrival I’ve ever tasted, it was also the creamiest and sweetest, making the experience even more heavenly.
All thanks to Spanky Hizon Enriquez. I wish all my business meetings were like this one, haha. I wanted to thank him on the phone, but I guess I lost his business card. Darn it, my clumsiness strikes again.
By the way, if you’d like to try this dessert and other delectable dishes, you can visit their branch at 191 Tomas Morato Ave. cor. Scout Gandia in Quezon City. Their main branch is located on Upper Session Road in Baguio City. You can also check out their website at http://marios.com.ph.
